We are thrilled to be taking part as a family in the Wonderful Week, keeping us fit and raising much-needed funds for The Good Life Orphanage.
As well as raising money for children who need it, we want to make more people aware of the fundraising options available. It is now possible, through Wonderful.org, to maximise fundraising efforts and ensure that every penny reaches its intended cause.
We'd like to encourage others to join us in this fundraising initiative and do something wonderful for a charity close to their own hearts.
Thanks so much for your support and please share our fundraising page using the hashtag wonderfulweek.
We provide a safe & loving environment for orphaned / abandoned / vulnerable children just north of Mombasa, Kenya. The children receive three meals daily, access to healthcare when required & a good quality education at our adjoining SBM School. Since opening our gates in 2008 over 100 children have enjoyed "The Good Life", some have been adopted, some reunited with extended family we have managed to trace, sadly some have died as they were just too poorly by the time they reached us and we have 64 children remaining with us aged from a newborn baby, Jamie, who arrived with us on the 3rd June 2017 just a few hours old to Collins who is our oldest boy at 16 years old. Our adjoining SBM School is a centre of learning in the middle of the mayhem that exists in the surrounding area where along with 50 of our orphans a further 300 children from impoverished backgrounds have access to an excellent standard of education for free, it has transformed the area and continues to do so on a daily basis.
I understand that I can opt out of these communications at any time.

This donation is my own money. It has not come from anyone else, e.g. a business, friends, family or a collection.
These are the proceeds from the sale of goods or provision of service e.g. a cake sale, auction or car wash.
I am receiving a benefit from this donation, e.g. entry to an event, raffle or sweepstake.
I am a UK taxpayer and understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax in the current tax year than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations it is my responsibility to pay any difference.
I wish to apply Gift Aid and understand that The Good Life Orphanage and SBM School will receive an additional £0.50 as a result of my £2.00 donation - at no additional cost to me. (The Wonderful Organisation will not deduct anything from this Gift Aid contribution to cover its own costs.)

There's a lot of mediocrity being celebrated, and a lot of #wonderful stuff being ignored or discouraged.
